Hearst Tower
New York City, New York, United States · Glass & Steel Architecture
Hearst Tower in Midtown Manhattan is a 182-metre office skyscraper by Foster and Partners, set on top of an earlier masonry base by Joseph Urban. Its defining feature is the triangulated diagrid of stainless-steel-clad members, which folds the glass facade into faceted corners and makes the structure itself the building's main ornament.
