Designed by BIG and completed in 2016, VIA 57 West is a 142-meter, 34-floor apartment building in Manhattan shaped like a warped pyramid. Its sloping metal-clad facade rises from the street to a sharp peak, while a deep notch cut into one side exposes a courtyard lined with stepped balconies.
